Merging 2 data sources

I will start with I do not have direct access to change these data source connections.

I have two data sources for a project I am working on, one is done through a binary load and one is done through a QVD file. I have successfully loaded the two data sources into my project and I can build visualizations off each data set independently, however I would like to be able to merge the two data sets into one data set so that I can build more efficiently.

How do I merge two datasets into one (or join them together) in an efficient way?

Hi @Evan0211 ,

Is there any common field between those 2 data sets that you can Join then together ?

Another option is using the Concatenate function, that will append both tables into one.

1) Load both data sources

2) Modify one or both data sources to make the structure match using additional Loads or other functionality

3) Drop the original data source once you're done creating the modified version, using Drop Table or Drop Field statements as appropriate

A bit of a generic answer, but then again, that was a bit of a generic question. The specific methods depend on what your data structures are like.
