Pre-caching in a Multi-node architecture

Hello Everyone ,

We have an issue with the pre-caching on an app that contain a lot of data (40 Go) , and we want to do a pre-caching for this app on a multi-node qlik sense archirecture , the issue that we have here is that when we do a pre-caching for the app the cache is stored in a specific node (node 1 for example) and in some cases a user could be redirected to a node that do not contain the cache (node 2 for example) and tha app takes a long time to open and the KPIs are recalculated from scratch .

I'm new to qlik sense , and i really appreciate your help 🙂

Thanks in advance .

Have you been able to find a solution for this?

Hi @Othman_malouane

Are we saying that the app is 40 GB?

In that case you probably would explore to pin the app to an specific node, there is some information in the QS Playbook that could help here:

https://adminplaybook.qlik-poc.com/docs/asset_management/apps/review_pinning_load_balancing.html

https://adminplaybook.qlik-poc.com/docs/tooling/cache_warming.html

But if the app is 40GB size, it would be better to analyze if you can optimize the app, reduce the data, use ODAG or anything around improving application/reducing data.

Hope it helps.
