QVDistributionService.exe process generating millions of file handlers

Currently we are running QlikView April 2019 Initial Release, on Windows 2019 Operating System.

The QlikView Distribution Service is consuming high Memory even if there were a smaller number of tasks(qvb's) running on that server. When we check in the process explorer the QVDistributionService.exe is having 592 threads with 3 million handlers.   Why is the process generating too many handlers? Is this the main contributing factor for the app performance?

Hi, thanks for the above details

Our configuration in the DistributionService.exe.config is as per the suggested values.

We are in progress of upgrading the QlikView application and recently upgraded our servers to Windows 2019 OS to accommodate the compatibility issues with newer version of QlikView.
We recently detected this issue and wanted to know what the reason for the increase in the file handlers would be, before we move on with the OS upgrade on other servers.
