QlikSense Desktop not working

I downloaded QlikSense Desktop and am not able to log in and use the program. Ideas on why it doesn't work after the update? This is a single desktop install with no enterprise server.

When you login with your Qlik Account it should be Authenticated by the Qlik Servers and if there is any internet connection problem or if the Qlik Server is slow or down you get this error.

When I start Desktop, it offers Log in w/ Qlik Account, Register or Add Authentication Link. I click on Log in with Qlik Account and it provides the error message in the orignial post. Shouldn't I be able to enter account credentials first before getting the error?
