Hello all,
Can we have in the same server: Qlikview and Qlik Sense together??
I faced some problems when trying to install it today and at the end I decided to use another. But I really need to know if I can use only one.
Thank you in advance.
Marilyn
You seem to have more definitions of 'not possible' than most people have. That's fine, perhaps that works for you. Anyway, let me give you two quotes from the Qlik Sense Support FAQ:
Can I install Qlik Sense Server on the same computer where I have QlikView Server 10 ,11 or 12?
It is not supported, nor recommended, to install or run Qlik Sense Server on the same server as any version of QlikView Server.
Can I run Qlik® Sense and QlikView® on the same server with the same users?
Qlik® Sense and QlikView are distinct products, requiring distinct license grants, license deployments, and user access. Customers may not run Qlik® Sense and QlikView® on a single server.
It's not possible to install both on one machine. Some ports are needed by both which will lead to conflicts. See this discussion: Re: Sense Server and Qlikview Server
Thank you Gysbert.
Do you know how should I configure the ports in order to use the same machine for both?
Hi Anna,
This is clearly not recommended as a best practice because both products will compete as heavy cpu and in-memory applications.
But for testing or light cases, i recommend you may create 2 VMs environments.

Maurice

Hi Anna,
Due to the port conflicts its a good practice to install it on different servers.
Thanks,
Sangram.
Hi Sangarm,
If I customize the ports of either one ,would it works?
