Repository Super User Password Lost

Hello,

The password of the SuperUser assigned to the Repository Database has been lost.

Qlik Sense has been uninstall for upgrade but we are not able to reinstall it due to the lack of the password.

Is there any way we can reinstall Qlik Sense 1.1 without knowing the superUser Password ?

Thanks

Philippe

Hi Philippe,

If it is the repository password, see if this might help you out:

Hi Philippe,

I dont think you can upgrade without the SuperUser password. You need to raise a case with Qlik they will probably guide you by providing a PostgresSql backdoor entry.

Hello Philippe,

I agree with Björn's suggestion, but there is also the possibility to clear all the configurations of the installation (including repository password) by deleting the contents of C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense. You may find sometimes that you cannot delete the logs folder as it requires admin permissions, but after deleting this you will find that any trace of a repository password will be removed when you perform a reinstall.

Please mark this answer as helpful if this helps.

Does it make sense to get a copy of QlikSenseUtil.exe and run that on the server?  I found the PostGreSQL username and password easily using this.
