Retirement of Qlik Fort

Hello,

I just saw in the documentation that Qlik fort is retiring as of 30th May 2023. Can I have more insights on why are Qlik fort retiring? what will be the alternate solution for hybrid scenarios?

Before the retirement date, ​May 30th, 2023, we recommend you export your Qlik Sense applications from the Fort by selecting one of the Export App commands available in the application card's context menu from the Qlik Cloud hub.

To answer your query regarding a hybrid solution: We encourage you to consider using the capabilities of Qlik Cloud to address your Qlik Cloud Analytics needs, such as Qlik Data Gateway and/or BYOK. We have recently released additional security capabilities in the cloud platform such  as customer managed encryption keys that enables customers to take control of the encryption keys used to secure data at rest. In addition, we've made several enhancements to the access control model on Qlik Cloud so customers can have more control of the capabilities and access users have to content on Qlik Cloud tenants. 

If you need a more hands on discussion around this and what is best for you going forward, I would recommend reaching out to your Qlik sales rep or your account manager.
