Sorting by date not working??

Hi all.  I've looked through the other solutions to this, but none of them seem to be working for me.

I have a field "Date" in my data in the format of DD/MM/YYYY which I want to use in a line graph:

In my load statement above, I've tried to get Qlik to recognise the days as a number so it'll put them in the right order, however when put into a line graph, the order is seemingly random?

I need the dates in date order, ascending from left to right. but Qlik is putting them in a random order and I can't work out why???

In the sorting options, I've sorted numerically, ascending by the Date field.

Does anyone have any idea why its not putting them in order?

put your date field that is in third place to first place in the sorting panel
