Specific Data architecture question

Hi all,

I've got a question about how to order my data. I've got two tables with the following columns:

Defects: Date, Type, part and Aircraftmodel

FlighHours: Date, Flight hours, AircraftModel

The two date columns are coupled via a linktable so I can plot the number of defects as well as the 'Flight hours' on the same datescale. In a following step I want to plot: (number of defects)/(Flight hours) per part. The problem is that I don't know how to add part information to my table Flighthours. More specific; a defect occurs on a specific part but every part of an aircraft has the same number of flight hours. So to illustrate this, in one row of the table 'FlightHours', all parts should be included so that when i try to plot the (number of defects)/(Flight hours) per part, the flight hours of the AircraftModel are used.

Does anyone have any idea how to do this?
