Hi,
I defined some master measures/dimensions and I'd like to use them in other formulas without writing entirely the formula adopted.
One possible way could be using variables but I prefer not using them.
Is it possible in this new Qlik version or we still need to wait for this implementation?
Thanks,
Marc
Hi, any news on this? Is it possible in newer versions of Qlik Sense? Thanks
It's still not possible in Qlik Sense Cloud as of today.
Hey Michael. Is this feature available yet or do you have any update on when it might be released?
One way of using master items in expressions is by adding them to a table.
Then you can simply reference Column(1) for example in the next expression where you refer to the master item by it's column number in the table.
@Michael_Tarallo Hi Michael, will this feature get implemented in Qlik Sense?
In measure, I can use other master measures, like this:
- Measure 3 formular = [Master Measure 1] + [Master Measure 2]
It works well, just put the Master measure name in [...]
However, in master measure, It doesn't work with master dimension.

One more point FYI, this kind of master measure seems not work in some charts, I tried fine on table, but not work on scatter plot.
Hi.
I am using the formulas in variables. In the Master Measures, I use the variable with dollar sign expansion ($) and, when I need the formula in a expression, I write the expression using the variable with dollar sign expansion too.
Is this a problem to perfomance or other bad issues?
Thanks.
What is situation for this...I really need it...
Jasmina
what kinds of situation you gonna need it?
Thi_Pham, many situations. It would make it so much easier and helpful to use Master items if we're able to them reference them by name again.
