YOY Comparison in Qlik Sense

Hi,

I would like to do a YOY comparison for a specific metric in QlikSense SaaS.  I would need to calculate the sum of account balances for the current selected month and compare it the account balances for the same month PY. The month is in the text format YYYYMM and its being used as a filter in the report. When I do not select any filters, then it displays the CY and PY balances correctly. However, when I select 202311 then it shows the PY metric as zero whereas it should display the corresponding  balance for 202211. How to resolve this issue?

What is your formula you are currently using? I assume you are calculating this sum in the sheet rather than the load script? It sounds like you need to be using a set alanlysis to achieve what you are looking for. There are a lot of examples that exist if you search for set analysis yoy comparison. Have you looked at this method yet?
