Zoom level

Hi,

This is a general query and is not related to Maps.

Is it possible to show the browser zoom level as a KPI in a Qlik Sense Dashboard?

My users constantly complain that the boxes are squished. A solution is to use the browser zoom out to 75% but inevitably they forget.

As a reminder, within the Qlik Sense App, is it possible to show the user what zoom level they are currently using?

Thanks,

Colin

I'd suggest the app shouldn't be designed for best viewing less than 100%.  Perhaps see if you can layout your sheet better to match your users most common display setting.

Putting the onus on the user to adjust their setting to view just your app isn't a great experience for them whether you highlight the setting or not.  Its a hassle for them. Redesign it.

Appreciate what you are saying and its the most straight forward answer in many ways.

The constraint are:

Not being able to extend the sheet to the right

Users wishing to see a table and a chart side by side

Making the font smaller might help  and could reduce the @TextSize to 11px

        "@TitleSize": "16px",

        "@SubtitleSize": "15px",
        "@TextSize": "14px",
        "@FooterSize": "14px",

Have you looked at setting your sheet size to custom?

Could be a winner

Plus:

  • There is a constant scroll bar at the side and bottom (the responsive scroll bar appearing is annoying)
  • Clarifies there is more content

Not as annoying as having to resize your browser settings for one app.

Sometimes its about satisfying the brief rather than having the perfect solution.

Best to put the options to the users including ones that will work the space best for the detail in the charts i.e. perhaps use of a container or extending down the sheet or splitting analysis across multiple sheets and let them decide Afterall its them that will be using the app not you.

all good advise there.

the brief demands tables like P&L Statements, which are both wide and deep.

On a side note, looking forward to the day when Table functionality increases e.g. bold, italic fonts, resize rows, ensure columns size are the same (without need to use CSS).

Perhaps looking at an extension might be the answer for now.
