how to do back end calculation

i have a set analysis statement

count(distinct {<status={'ABC'},Date_Flag={'Start Date'}>}city&Region)

how can i move this expression to back end achieving the same result.

It depends of your data model, basically where status, Date_Flag, Start Date, city and Region are located and how this is linked together.
