how to replace a data source by another

Hello , I'm new on Qlik and testing it to leave Tableau

I have create an APP but I cannot find the option /procedure to change the datasource and replace it by another refreshed version . how to do it ? I was so simple in tableau by choosing the other Excel file but here it's so complex ..many thanks for your help Daniel

Hi @danielCaccia ,

It is difficult to imaging with this few info.

But if you are reading from an excel file,  just copy the new one (refreshed) on the same place with the same name. (replace the old one with the new one) 

and then reload data on your application.

il fact I loaded the excel file in the cloud - so there no "same location"....

In fact I was not clear - my data is stored in the catalogue but I try to replace my current source with the new data I don't know were to start.....

how to do it ? Do I need to remove the old source ? thanks daniel

Hi @danielCaccia ,

you have to go to data load editor

Check the data load scrip at the end were reads FROM and change the name of the data source for the one that you want to read, 

I do not use Qlikcloud so that I can not post you images

But should be smth similar to that

If not (if you do not need old data) you can just "save as" the new file the same name of the old one.
