unable to unlock engine after installing QlikSense Desktop in Virtual Machine

Dear members,

Since i used Qlik Sense Desktop on a physical machine i am now a bit supprised.

My IT installed Qlik Sense Desktop in a virtual Windows 10 machine (since we only have a thin client Environment). But when i start the application and log in using my credentials i get an error "Engine unable to unlock, please try again".

What do i Need to check? I haven't found any Information that installing in a VM is not possible, or using it via RDP.

Thank you all for your time and help.

Best regards

Olaf

Hello Olaf,

could it be that you use OneDrive at the RDP client? In this case here is one reason why you see this error

https://support.qlik.com/articles/000050457

All the settings and Data are stored in your Documents folder, if you use Qlik Sense Desktop. Do you use a roaming profile?

You can check the logfiles located in the location described in this article.

If that post solved your issue, please mark the thread as "solved".

Thanks Sebastian for the Help.

I'm not sure About the roaming profiles in regardes to this VM. Usually in our Citrix Environment we do use them.

I've checked the Logs and found one issue in the "enginge" log.

I assume that's a network firewall Problem?

Also the  "--WSPath" seems to be odd, since i'm not "admin".

Thanks for your advise.

Update:

I haven't solved the issue jet.

We tried to disable the Windows Antivirus option, without any luck.

I'm not allowed to run the app as Admin.

So what could i do?

Thanks for the help.
