Hello everyone.
I'm starting to try Qlik Sense EnterpriseSaaS and I have some doubts.
the data I have to analyze reside on a Microsoft database on a local server and I cannot move them for security reasons.
I installed Qlik Data Transfer on the local server and started transferring data. QDT, however, does not satisfy me because it prevents me from maintaining the export script and is very rigid in management.
I am studying Qlik Forts and it seems to me more suitable even if I have to use vSpere on vCenter and I have to invest in more hardware resources.
can you tell me what exactly is the difference between the two services from the point of view of performance and functionality? when is it advisable to use qlik Forts instead of QDT and vice versa?
is there a comparison document?
maybe I'm missing something. can you help me ? thank you and sorry for the inconvenience.
hi
Hi @francofiorillo
Qlik Forts is a hybrid service that securely extends Qlik Sense® SaaS capabilities to wherever your data must reside, regardless of location – on-prem, virtual private cloud or public cloud.
https://www.qlik.com/us/products/qlik-sense/qlik-forts
Qlik DataTransfer is a lightweight Windows application that lets you upload data from on-premises data sources to a Qlik Sense SaaS tenant.

So Forts might be better suited for your needs, given the requirement that your data is stored locally.
