Hi,
Is there any sort of general rule for when to put quotes around a variable?
I was able to get this to work by trial and error, but I'd like to understand why.
In my app, I have a variable that stores an aggregation function name; that is, vFunctionList can have the value avg, min, max, or sum.
I have a bar chart that uses this variable in the measure: $(vFunctionList) ([Measure Data Field])
The bar chart title indicates which aggregation function is being shown: ='$(vFunctionList)'
If vFunctionList just holds a string, why do I need to treat it differently in these two places?
