Another employee at my company made a Qlik app and uploaded it to a shared drive with a .qvf format. I cannot open it on my Windows desktop and I would like to be able to so I can edit the app, if possible. Need to know how to open it in Qlik and edit. Thanks.
If you open your local QlikSense desktop and in Windows Explorer navigate to the shared drive holding the qvf, you can then drag and drop it onto your local QlikSense desktop to open it.
Do make sure you liaise with the other employee otherwise he may well be surprised if you change the app.
You need to copy the qvf into your desktop folder c:\documents\Qlik\Sense\Apps.
Then you will see it in the Hub when you open QS Desktop.
Thank you! I was able to open the app, but now it won’t let me save it to my personal hub. I click save and it says “access denied”?

Did you check the security settings on the file itself or the folder where you copied it?
Yes, and it says I have full control
