how to normalise a chemical analysis relative to one element

Hi,

first of all let me thank you all for your contributions on this forum, helped me out a lot already.

Now I have a problem I have not found a solution for (otherwise I would not be posting, right 😉 )

I have a data set of chemical analyses, with the following fields:

- location (of the operation)

- element (containing the names of the chemical elements, such as 'Cu', 'Pb', ...)

- value (measured value)

- date (of the measurement)

I have a stacked bar chart with location as a first dimension, and element as a second, and avg(value) as measure, with a filter pane for the date.

Now one of my colleagues asks whether I can also plot the chemical analysis, normalised with respect to one of the elements, say 'Cu', so that the value for Cu would be 1 at each location, and the other elements would show a relative value. I tried dividing by avg({$ <element = {'Cu'}>} value), which does not work as every line in the table which is not Cu does not contain a value for Cu...

Any ideas?

Thanks a lot!
