Users see outdated versions of documents in the Access Point. A first investigation shows that the documents get distributed to the QlikView Server root folder and not to the specified mounted folder.
The QlikView log files (task logs, server logs) do not show any issues. The QlikView Server accepts the document from the Distribution Service and saves it successfully.
However, attempting to access the Distribution Service settings may show this error:
Access to the path 'C:\ProgramData\Qliktech\ManagementService\Config.xml" is denied.
Permissions over the file are correct, so we should not see this error.
Resolution:
Stop all QlikView Services
Backup the C:\ProgramData\QlikTech folder
Rename C:\ProgramData\Qliktech\ManagementService\Config.xml into C:\ProgramData\Qliktech\ManagementService\Config_old.xml
Change again the QlikView Distribution Service log verbosity and apply the changes. A new .xml is generated
Open the old .xml file and the new one in an editor.
Copy and paste the content of the old file into the new one, and save.
Start all QlikView Services
Access the Distribution Service Settings in the Management Console and Apply any changes (change th the log level)
