This article provides the direction on how to approach Error 500 - Internal server error issue for Qlik Sense.
Environment:
Qlik Sense any version
Resolution:
Check if any 3rd party software/process is running and interfere port 443.
Check if Qlik Sense Certificate is correctly installed e.g. If the host name you specified during the Qlik Sense installation is different from actual machine name, it can be a problem. See How to recreate or just delete certificates in Qlik Sense for possible assistance with certificates.
Check if regional settings are causing strange date/time issues on the server. For example, in one case, using Thailand regional settings caused the server machine datetime year to show 2561 instead of 2018. Resolving that issue & restarting the server resolved this issue
Check if the service account you are running is satisfying the system requirements. These can be verified on the official help site for the relevant version of the product.
Check if server is pending the installation of Windows updates. Carry through with the pending update and restart the host.
