In some cases, the otherwise correctly enabled Qlik NPrinting audit feature fails to produce output. For information on how to correctly enable auditing, see Audit trail.

Resolution

On the Qlik NPrinting Server:

Always export and backup your client_audit certificate before proceeding.
  1. Open the Services MMC from the Windows server control panel
  2. Stop the Qlik NPrinting auditing service
  3. Open the Windows Certificate Manager > Certificates > Local Computer > Personal certificate folder

    client audit certificate.png

  4. Delete the client_audit certificate from the cert store shown in the image above
  5. Start the Qlik NPrinting Audit service

This will result in the creation of a new certificate and enable the audit service to work normally once again.

Cause

The client_audit certificate that secures the Qlik NPrinting auditing service has become corrupted or contains an invalid signature.
