Qlik Replicate version 2022.5.0.291 and later come with the ability to set task notifications to alert you when a task does not capture CDC and changes after a specified amount of time.
Network connectivity problems or table structure changes while tasks are running can lead to tasks not functioning properly where CDC is not captured but the task is still in running status. This feature is useful in alerting you that a task is not capturing changes should you encounter this scenario.
The new No changes were captured in the last minutes notification will alert you if no changes were captured from the source database within the specified time limit. With most databases, receiving this notification will usually indicate a connectivity problem. However, with the following databases, it could simply mean that no changes occurred during the specified period.
Microsoft SQL Server
IBM DB2 for LUW
IBM DB2 for Series
When the task resumes capturing changes, an additional notification that change capture has resumed will be sent, and the notification timer will be reset.
The new notification can be found in:
Server Settings
Notifications
New Notifications and Task Events
This option will allow you to specify how many minutes of changes are not being captured before you are sent the notification.
