After installing or upgrading a new rim node, the Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows Management Console (QMC) shows Undefined-undefined version on its start page.

Environment

Resolution

  1. Restart the Qlik Sense central node
  2. Restart the rim nodes
  3. If the issue persists: Verify that all nodes (central and rim) are running the same Qlik Sense version and patch level
  4. Restart all nodes.

If you still have the issue after the above it could be caused by your virtual proxy setting where there no engine balanced:

If the virtual proxy has no engine balanced, the API cannot retrieve the engine version and it will display undefined - undefined.

To be able to retrieve the version, it's needed to have the virtual proxy (the one used to connect to QMC) with at least 1 engine balanced.
