I wanted to bring an issue to your attention that we have been experiencing lately. We are encountering frequent errors when attempting to extract data using the data gateway.
Error Details: Connector error: data loading error (DirectAccess-4008)
It seems that these errors occur when we migrate from our On-premise extract application to the cloud. The application contains numerous SQL queries and connectors. Interestingly, when we execute each part separately, everything appears to be working fine. However, when these components are combined into one application, it tends to crash almost every other time it runs.

I have recently updated the gateway. I am happy to inform you that everything seems to be running smoothly and the system is currently stable.

We have seen, potentially, similar instances that we are delivering a remediation on next Qlik Data Gateway 1.4.1 that might come soon.
I would highly recommend waiting for such version and if the issue still exists after you deploy the newest version, we can resume here as needed.
As a reminder, is good precise to stay within the latest Qlik Data Gateway once such is released.

Please upgrade to 1.5.3 that has several improvement and our strong recommendation is to stay within the latest version.
If the issue still persists after moving to 1.5.3 please open a new post here at the Qlik Community.

We upgrade our customer to QDG 1.5.3 last week, they are still getting the same error. (DirectAccess 1012)
