Qlik Data Integration - Failed Salesforce Connection

Hi everyone,

We are new to Qlik Data Integration and want to create a data connection to Salesforce.
For now we can give all wanted fiels:

* gateway

* salesforce instance

* client id

* client secret

* salesforce domain

We can correctly authenticate, but verify give us following error:

"Failed to create connection: Please edit source, provide correct instance then reload this dataset. Please note all steps in this document to find correct instance https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=000384755&type=1 Please note you may be using Salesforce "My Domain" or Salesforce "Edge" which changes the relevant instructions. Your instance name may be "companyname.my"."

We checked this, but still we get this error.

Anyone with similar experience, of someone who can help?

Kind regards,

Davina Moriau

Hi @davinamoriau

I just came across this issue and the following steps worked for me:

  1. Go to "Company Settings", then "My Domain"
  2. Then find "current My Domain URL", It will show you something like XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.my.salesforce.com
  3. Copy the first section up to "my" part like this XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.my
  4. Go back to your connection, and place that in the "Salesforce Instance" box.
  5. Try to Authenticate and Validate again.

Kind Regards,
