Qliksense Enterprise Azure AD Intergration SSO

All,

Our current qliksense on-prem enterprise is configured to use  Authentication method as "Ticket" in my virtual proxy as you can see below.

Now I am also trying to integrate Azure AD SSO with Qlik Enterprise client managed

I found the following link which describes how to achieve that using SAML - Azure AD

My question is, in-order to integrate Azure AD with Qlik Enterprise, SAML is the only option and "Ticket" auth can't be used?
