Hello,
I have been working with Qlik Sense for at least one year, but my significant challenge lies in understanding the usage of aggregation methods—specifically when, why, and how to apply them. For example, I often encounter situations where the total of a measure in a table displays one value, yet the indicator of the KPI shows a different value. Interestingly, when I add aggregation functions, the problem seems to be resolved.
This inconsistency arises in various scenarios, and I am seeking assistance from someone who can help me thoroughly understand and address this issue.
Thank you
It's often a good idea to read anything written by hic on a subject - in this case, https://community.qlik.com/t5/Design/Pitfalls-of-the-Aggr-function/bc-p/1697058#M8734 or https://community.qlik.com/t5/Design/The-Aggregation-Scope/ba-p/1467321
As a rule, when writing a measure, you should always use an aggregation function.
thank you !
