Why does Qlik Compose read a BigQuery float field as a decimal(40,9)?

I am currently querying a BigQuery table that contains a field defined as a float. When I bring this field into a Qlik Compose mapping, it is read as an empty field. I then cast the field to a decimal, and it is set to a decimal(40,9).

I am trying to understand why Qlik Compose is reading the field with this length, and if I can set the decimal length in Qlik Compose .

Hello @Devaisy

Kindly refer the data types supported in Compose for Google Big Query endpoint.
Google Cloud BigQuery data types | Qlik Compose Help

You can also compare how it replicated in Landing area(Target endpoint in Qlik Replicate) and how it replicated in Qlik Compose.

I read the documentation and that's why I ask the question, I don't understand why a field that is in BigQuery as numeric(13,3), but when querying in qlik compose reads it as Decimal(40,9) which also wouldn't make sense since the Qlik decimal are (38,12).

And well, at least in qlik compose I can't define a specific length/width.
