We have archived historical versions of tables from our ERP that we'd like to load into our data warehouse. For example, our shipment table currently only goes back to mid-2020 in the DW, but we have historical snapshots of the source table which go back to 2013.
Are there community resources or documentation someone can point me toward for how to accomplish this elegantly? I believe I had heard or read that I could set up a one-time full load task and point it at the historical snapshots, which would then be appended to the existing table (it has the same structure), but I'm not sure yet precisely how to do this to avoid duplicates or other issues.
