We would like to turn off Enterprise Manager notifications between certain hours nightly to create a blackout window and avoid being spammed during the time period we know our source servers are bounced nightly.
We can't see a way to define a timeframe for the alerts on the alert itself. We were hoping to figure out a way to automate disabling and re-enabling the notifications during the blackout window, but have had no luck.
Has anyone successfully done anything like this?
Hi,
Currently it is not possible to define timewindows in which the notification will be active. However this sounds a usuable option. We suggest you to submit an ideation request for this need. Instruction for submition of ideation request can be found in the following link:

Another option is open a case so our support could check if there is a feasble work around to achieve your need. For exmple, it might be possible to consider import and export of QEM definitions although it is too big change. Therefore, may be support could check if there is an easier/shorter way to do it.

Hi @LJP ,
Welcome and Thank you for reaching out to us on Qlik Community.
Unfortunately, as of my knowledge Qlik Enterprise Manager (QEM) does not provide a built-in feature to automatically enable or disable notifications based on a specific time frame.
However, you can manually enable or disable notifications in QEM.
Here are the steps to do so:
1. Select the desired notification(s) and then click the Enable or Disable toolbar button.
2. While this doesn’t fully automate the process, it does allow you to control when notifications are active.
For a more automated solution, you might consider using an external system or script that interacts with the QEM API to enable and disable notifications at specific times.
However, this would require a good understanding of the QEM API and potentially some programming skills.
I recommend reaching out to Qlik support for this and update the solution if any here.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other queries.

Hello Team,
To add more Previous comments. If you closely look in to the Notification settings. you have to define when notification is sent (Latency exceeds 60 MIN) and you have to define when to Clear notification when latency drops below (Latency below 10 MIN) to clear the notification.
don't see there is any function for enable or disable.
