Anyone else been watching the Qlik MCP tool catalog grow? The newest batch covers the Application Script Lifecycle, and it's a meaningful step past the "read-only" tools we've had so far.
With qlik_create_app, qlik_get_script, and qlik_update_script, an assistant can now write and rewrite a load script directly. Pair that with qlik_start_app_reload, qlik_get_reload_status, qlik_get_reload_log, and qlik_cancel_app_reload, and it can run the reload, watch it, pull the log if it fails, and try again. qlik_get_data_model closes the loop by confirming what actually landed in the app.
I put this to the test in a new video: had an AI assistant create an app, build a script off a real dataset, reload it, and report back on the resulting data model - start to finish, no manual steps in the hub.
Watch it here: https://youtu.be/cwP8p7QEbQw
Curious what others are building with these - especially if anyone's chained them into a larger automation with the Automations tool set. Drop your setup below if you've tried it.

Mark Costa

Dear Mark,
We came across your post regarding connecting Qlik Sense with Claude, and we found it very interesting. We would like to understand whether a similar integration is possible for an on-premises Qlik Sense environment.
Currently, we are running Qlik Sense Enterprise on-premises, and there are no immediate plans to migrate to Qlik Cloud.
We have developed our own in-house AI agent and are interested in connecting Qlik Sense with our AI agent. Could you please let us know if an on-premises Qlik MCP Server is available, or if there is any recommended approach for integrating an on-premises Qlik Sense environment with an external AI agent?
Any guidance or documentation you could share would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you @Tool_Tip.
I'm almost sure Qlik is working on an official Qlik Sense MCP Server but so far, there is no release date. Meanwhile I think you can give a try to some non-official projects such as https://github.com/bintocher/qlik-sense-mcp
