Ensuring Data Consistency and Accuracy during Windows Patching

Dear team,

We have a lot of replication jobs with 2 main profiles: "Apply Changes" and "Full Load".
However, on a monthly basis, we have to stop the server for 8 hours to perform scheduled Windows patching.
This interrupts the data replication process and puts the data at risk of being incomplete or inaccurate.
In fact, we have experienced data loss during the 2 days when the server was stopped, even when we resumed Qlik Replicate.

So we need advice on:
1. What we should do or consider BEFORE and AFTER performing Windows patching?
2. What steps should we take to ensure the consistency and accuracy of the data?

Thank you for your assistance.

Hello Team,

Thanks for reaching out to Qlik via Qlik Community Support page. Windows Patching does not alter the behaviour of Qlik replicate in data progression or Apply on the participating target. There may be other factor which pertain to data sync issue.

Any OS patching may lead issue with Qlik replicate process related or dependent components which may be upgraded to new version post OS upgrade or patching.

Recommend steps to Stop the Qlik Task Gracefully and once the OS patched then Check Connectivity with Participating Endpoints. Start the Replicate OS process and then start. Replicate tasks.

For any unseen issue engage support as required.
