MSSQL Server - Replication tool installation

MS Replication tool is not present in MSSQL server (cluster with 2 nodes) and hence Qlik replicate is not pulling the CDC records.  One node is primary and other is secondary. If one node is down, other will be switched on.

Whether we need to install  MS replication on both the nodes or installing on the primary node is suffice.

Does Qlik replicate reads database  table changes only from Online TLOGs or depends on distribution database logs as well ?

Hi @kavin88p ,

Replicate feature has to be enabled on both\all the nodes in the cluster and you can set up a remote distributor to run the log reader agent remotely to handle failover scenarios.
Qlik replicate reads database table changes only from Online TLOGs or backups logs depending on your task settings.

Thanks,

Swathi
