Memory allocation tuning

Hi Qlik ,

How to allocate memory in the tasksettings for cdc task. Is it with respect to incomming flow or with respect to number of tasks in a replicate server, i mean dividing the memory in each ..!!! 

So can you please explain , best practices and tuning.

Hi, 

In general the Memory allocation is managed by the Replicate server for all the tasks. The memory requirement for every task is depending on several parameter like: 

- The number of LOB columns included in the replicated tables
- The task serring under CDC processing tuning 

- The setting of the stream buffers that are controled by the parameters: stream_buffers_number & stream_buffer_size in the task json (they can not be set through the GUI) 

Usually it is recommeded to fine tune the tasks resource requirement in your test environment before moving them to production. If you have more specific question please provide more details about the scenario.
