Qlik Replicate Upgrade from November 2022 to May 2023

Hi Team ,

We are planning to upgrade Qlik replicate from November 2022 to May 2023.

1.We want to know the steps we need to follow the backup and restoration process of Data folder and the prerequisites and if there are any issues while upgrade what we need to do.

2.Do we need to restore the backup of data folder or not after upgrade.(if yes ,steps to be followed)

3. when we need to start and stop replicate services and if can start and stop manually from start-> services or not.

4.If we are starting and stopping from Qlik folder start replicate server and stop replicate server what is the difference with manual stopping of services

Thanks & regards.

Hi @Naga_vivek

You can upgrade directly from 2022.11 to 2023.5. Here's the release notes: Qlik Replicate May 2023 Release Notes - Initial Re... - Qlik Community - 2055251

To back up the data folder just make a copy. No need to copy the logs sub folder which should be the largest.

No need to restore the data folder unless you back out the upgrade.

It's not very important if you stop the services before upgrading as the installer will stop the services.

Here's a link to the upgrade steps: Qlik Replicate Upgrade Guide - Qlik Community - 1729651
