SAP CDC choise
Hi,
we have SAP HANA (S/4 2023 FPS01) and we would like to know what is the recommended way to connect Qlik Replicate to this system as a source.
Is there a decision tree with Pros and Cons of using each of the possible types of connection to SAP as a source?
Thank you,
Ernesto Costa.

Thank you for your post to the Replicate Forums. For the SAP HANA Source setup there are a few options you can setup. I would suggest checking the Online Replicate user documentation as we do list these in the below links. You can have SAP Application (DB) Endpoint setup with the SAP HANA defined as the Backend DB if you want to retain the SAP Datatypes in the Target for this Task. Or you can use the SAP HANA Trigger Base or Log Base setup depending on the outlined differences in the User Guide link provided. If you are going to setup SAP HANA Trigger base I would suggest using the Version 3 of the triggers (CTS) Mode with the new version of Replicate 2023.5 or 2023.11. Hope this provides insight into your post. Thank you have a great day.

Hi Bill,
thank you very much for your feedback, it allows me to get a better sense of direction.
I'll analyze the different options based on what you mentioned and close the thread in a few days if no more questions arise.
Best regards,
