SQL Server 2012

Based on the Qlik Replicate Nov. 2022 release note:

Support for the following source endpoint versions has been discontinued

...

SQL Server 2012

..

what dose it mean? we can't have a SQL Server 2012 database as a source at all or in case we encounter an error, Qlik support will not provide a new fix for it.

Thank you,

Estifan

Hi Estifan,

Thanks for reaching out. You'd be able to setup SQL Server 2012, however as it wasn't tested for the Nov 2022 release and it's not officially supported, there can be unpredictable behavior.

In case that happens or you face an error that is later reported as a bug, as you mentioned since it's out of support, it can't be considered to be patched in future releases.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Pedro

Hey @epanosian ,

If you have Replicate November 2022, then SQL Server 2012 is no longer supported and we do not advise trying to use this as a source endpoint.

Replicate May 2021.5, November 2021.11 and May 2022.5 still support SQL Server 2012.  If you encounter an issue on one of those versions and it is a bug, then it can be a possible candidate for a service pack for one of those releases.

Thank you,

Kelly
