ServiceNow ODBC connection

Has anyone created a Replicate task for ServiceNow? More specifically, have you implemented the ServiceNow ODBC driver

When we replicate tables now, we don't see the tables as it would look with the ODBC connector. I see there's a connector for Sense, but not sure if that would work the same.

@allann

Hi Thank you for the post to the QDI Forums. As per the list of Support Endpoints I do not see the Service Now connector being a Supported Source please see link below for Support ODBC and  Endpoints. Hope this helps.

Support for ServiceNow connector will be available in a Qlik Data Integration Cloud next quoter. It will be a dedicate connector using ServiceNow native APIs.

Hi @allann

Please find more information about using the ODBC connector.

The ODBC source endpoint can be used to access sources that are not included in Qlik Replicate’s extensive Support Matrix. However, unless enabled through Professional Services and approved by your Account Manager, the ODBC source endpoint should not be used. Additionally, the ODBC source endpoint should not be used to access any sources already listed in the Support Matrix.
Please read more about it on the link  below:
https://help.qlik.com/en-US/replicate/November2022/Content/Replicate/Main/ODBC/odbc_source_intro.htm

Please follow up with your account manager.

Thank you

Avidar

Hi Avidar,

Do you know if it is possible to do replication from Service Now using ODBC as a source? Do you know of any potential pitfalls/issues?

Regards,

Mohammed

Hi @allann , @MoeE ,

I checked the ServiceNow website, and it appears that they provide their own ODBC driver. Qlik Replicate may be able to access the data through the ODBC driver; however, we might need to adjust the SQL statement syntax. This is why we need the PS team to get involved.

Desmond
