Usage of batch apply mode and transaction apply mode

Can you please let me know the Usage of batch apply mode and transaction apply mode.  When to go for batch apply and when to go for transaction apply.

Hi Michael,

In batch mode, is it possible that the changes are applied out of order? ie, record a was updated before record b, but record b was sent to the target table before record a.

We're wondering if this will be an issue when using change tables. e.g we wanted to get the latest timestamp in a batch but we may potentially get the wrong timestamp as record b landed in the change table before record a.
