cdc job is not capturing updates.

Hi Team,

In my SQL server CDC job is not capturing the details , so how do we know since how many days its not working and Can I go for advacned resume options ? can I get 10 days or 30 days back records with advacned resume option?

Note: My CDC change table consist data till 3 days.

Could you please anybody help me on this ?

Hi @ramu123 

You could check task logs for errors but might be more accurate to check the target records to see when things stopped working and compare to the source.

You can only start by timestamp back as far as you have source transaction logs or source CDC tables to read from. Apart from that, full reload would be your only option.

Hi Dana,

Thanks for your reply and If I select 7 back time stamp and if data is there in T.log will be the data sync and is advanced resume option bypass the CDC change table and will it get data from T.log?

Could you brief on this?

@ramu123 If your source is MS-CDC change tables then the task will not read from source transaction logs.
