Hi all,
I'm getting an error in the hub randomly. I am on the latest version of Qlik Sense (June 2019).
I've attached the image.
Does anyone know how to resolve this error? It just keeps showing up after clicking "refresh"
"You cannot access Qlik Sense because you have too many active sessions in parallel."
Hi @CurtDaughtry , I read about the issue here:
https://support.qlik.com/articles/000051633
I contacted the Qlik Support about it and we agreed that I would create the new Windows user for the services. Since I made the change this morning I haven't seen the error again.
Hi @CurtDaughtry are you having that error while logged in with the same user that start and stops Qlik Services in your server? If so, this is a known issue y newer versions of Qlik Sense.
It get solved by creating a new user in Windows and modifying the properties of the Qlik windows services so it's this new user who handles them.
For your reference (I don't know if all this is mandatory):
In Windows, I added the new user to the following groups: Administrators, Performance Monitor Users and Qlik Sense Services Users.
In Qlik, I marked it as RootAdmin.
Thanks. Will you point me to the location where this is listed as a known issue?
I am running the services with the user that experienced the issue.
But after the session timed out and I logged back in, the error cleared.
I'm curious why the services' user would be connected to the session if that is in fact the root cause?

One more comment in case it helps someone in the future: if you are using a "user" ODBC connector to a database, you may need to create a "systemwide" one, since it may not be available anymore for your new Qlik Sense Services users.
Another comment that might help: If after changing the user running the services the issue persists, go to qmc/dataconnections, click on "column selector" (button next to "Actions") and mark "User ID". Make sure that the User ID of all the monitor_apps_* data connections is your services user.
