I have an application published to the stream and it's accessible by a specific user. I would like to give this user an option to Duplicate this app into his own workspace so it will allow him to do some modifications without disturbing the published app.
As of now, the app is visible, but no "Duplicate" option is available when user does the "Right Click" on the app's icon...
I could not find the Rule that needs to be updated to give this option to the user.
P.S. This user is set as a "ContentAdmin" on the system.
Looking forward for suggestions/direction.
Regards,
Vladimir

conducted research on the user Root Admin. Get the opportunity to make a "duplicate" application only is the user posted. Perform additional research and come back with the results.

I found that the ability to duplicate the application depends on the rights of the owner. The owner can duplicate own application. Perhaps it is a bug. May be Qlik wanted that the user could duplicate application in the stream "My job," but it turned out like this. The simple solution - change the user from the published application. You need to look in the direction of the rules OvnerRead and OwnerPublish
there is some internal rule for condition resource.IsOwned() andresource.owner = user
I'm create rule
resource filter *
conditions ((user.name="korsikov"))
context both
action - Create, read, update, delete, export, publish, change owner. change role, explor data
and I was able to delete the published applications, regardless of who their owner. This is despite the fact that even with the rights of "Root admin" I did not have at this opportunity
will continue...
hey guys, any further discoveries here? I am very curious - it is something that we could use at my organization.
I submitted a ticket to Qlik BTW, asking if there is a way for Developer 2 to duplicate an app created by Developer 1 without asking QMC admin (or without giving them access to QMC) and they came back with this that gave me a hope it will be addressed in future:
There currently is not a way for Developer 2 to duplicate any apps that they do not own in the Hub. This has been logged as an improvement and the folks in R&D are working on it.
Approved.

good news. We will wait this feature.
Any updates here? Workarounds?
I have been struggling with the same issue, really seems like there should be a way to achieve this...
If not, hopefully the next version (which hopefully shouldn't be too far away) will bring a solution.
nope. nothing change. Wait when version 2.2 will released and i will test again.
trust me, no way as of right now. We looked really really hard and involved Qlik support and Qlik architects.
