Can we have multiple QMCs in a single Clustered Server?

Hi Team,

Just wanted to know, if by any means we can have multiple (more than one) QMC in a single Clustered Server environment?

If either YES or NO - HOW, WHY, Pros and Cons.

Do you want to cluster a publisher environment? Do you want to cluster your QlikView servers?

My QVS is Clustered (2 servers) and I have 6 Publisher Nodes with a Publisher License.

Is there a way to split 6 Publisher nodes using 2 QMCs?

First, if you have a publisher cluster, then you will need to only have one QMC. If you run more than one QMC in a clustered publisher environment, then you will receive null pointer errors when writing out to your share.

In order to have two QMCs you will need to create a separate cluster. To the best of my knowledge, this will require another publisher license.

I am currently working in a clustered publisher environment. We have four nodes with one QMC. We have loads setup for on demand, daily, weekly, bi-monthly, and monthly. We have not had any problems with using one QMC.

You can have one QMC running for a single Cluster.
