Hi Ananth,
Check with QlikTech, few years back we used this type of license without qlikview server, I am not sure whether it is available now, even when I check in Qlikview site it is no where mentioned.
But I am sure Qlikview Desktop license is there.
Regards,
Jagan.

No developer license is available anymore. Developers are expected to lease license. See the details attached.

Yes its mandatory,
As per Qlik Policy the min quantity that can be ordered is as follows
5 for Named Cal/Local Client.
10 for document Cal.
If it answer your concern, then please close the thread by selecting proper answer.

"Yes you can!" (do I sound like Obama?)
There is still something called "a Local Client". You do not need a server or any other Named/document/Session/User affair. What you do need is a Local License and it carries the same price tag as a single Named CAL (Jan 1st, 2014). The license - when installed - applies to a single Windows ID on a single PC.
Best,
Peter
