Different Inactive session time

I wonder if you know any solution for setting various periods of inactivity in the session (Maximum Inactive Session Time).

For users with assigned license (Assigned CALS) we would like to set this time as unlimited and for users with Session license with limited session time. We think It can be very usefuly.

In the server console you can set Maximum Inactive Session Time generaly.

Thanks.

Hi David,

is you wanted to do this, you can distribute two versions of you end qvw. Making one version only available to a set list of users (those with named cals) and a second version for the remainder of the users. At that point you can set a separate timeout on each of the documents.

it means two version on the access point so more ram required on the server but does give the flexibility you are after.

Hope that helps

Joe

HI David,

I don't know of a way to do this with Qlik, but it is a good idea. You could do this with IIS and have two websites one for session users and the other for name users. The setup the session timeout there.

Hi Joe,

That is a good idea. David, you have to do the session timeout setting in the document. See below.
