Different server name in QVS than server is named on Network

Is it possible to have a different server name when connecting to the server in the QlikView application than the server is named on the network.

Server name on network is f2345server-qlikview4

Then I would like to name the server QVserver - this would make it more easy to enter in the "Open in Server" qvp://QVserver

Assign the server an extra alias QVserver in your DNS.

I'm not allowed to by central IT Management

I was hoping to be able to just change something in the Management Service, ie. in the URL or "Link Machine Name"
