Optimizing performance sorting issues

Hello All,

Would you please recommend methods by which I may improve performance that have to do with sorting?  My problem is that I have many rows (for example, one customer/product is one row) and many dimensions (hundreds) and I need to display the top "x" of these products on a per row level basis so pre-aggregating and an additional table are not options due to the complexity. QlikView needs to sort the entire database in order to present the top x.  Is there a way to limit on a per query basis (i.e. after the dimensions are indicated)?  Any suggestions are much appreciated!

Thank you,

Jo

Hi.

Post some details about the data model that you use.

Do you have hundreds of dimensions?

Could you post some data or more information?

Thank you!  I ended up using set analysis.
