QlikView server performance - RAM usage

Since the last month the performance of our QlikView server has dropped significantly.

There has been no new updates or developments done in the QV documents or on the server-

The server is an older server running windows 2012R2 with 64gb RAM. and it has been running perfectly well for several years. The load of Ram in for the QlikView Server (QVS.exe) has been loaded between 40-50gb even if only 1 document was opened on the client.

Now I see that the load is about 5GB of RAM, is I as a client open several documents its only being load to 10GB.

I don't think the problem is related to the QVS or the documents as they are not changed but it more an issue with Microsoft updates, McAfee or Carbon black..

anyone who has some ideas to check.

Hello @johnlauridsen from what I can see it might also be related to a Microsoft update?

I found the following thread talking about this: https://community.qlik.com/t5/QlikView-Administration/Performance-drop-on-QV-Desktop-Clients-since-i...

Hi @johnlauridsen,

The Qlik Support Blog thread Troubleshooting a QlikView Server: Performance and Crashes is a good resource to start with.  If you have questions regarding any specific error or warning you find in the QlikView Server logs, please let us know.

Also, are there any other high memory intensive, non-QlikView applications running on this Windows Server?

Best Regards
