For security reasons, we need to set the QMC (QV 11.2 SR8) to timeout after 10 minutes of inactivity. I haven't found anything in Google or the forums on how to do this. Appreciate any pointers in the right direction.
Hello Lyndon,
As far as I know there isn't an out of the box method to configure what you're looking for in the QMC. Possibly it might be attainable via the QMS API, but I don't know for sure.
Best,
Chip
In the QMC navigate to :
Then set the Maximum Inactive Session Time as per your needs.
Note: If you click Help at the top right it should open the context sensitive Help re this screen.
Per the help screen, this setting will close QVS sessions. I need it to close a QMC session after 10 minutes, but leave user connections open longer.

There is no real sessions concept in QMC-QMS communications, just the SSO authentication mechanism. I also think this won't be easy to accomplish.
Adding a timeout function to some QMC .js file won't close the connection, because you don't really log in...
It would be nice if MVPs could do that too...
